During the month of February, many black historians, humanitarians, and heroes have been highlighted. As we read and hear stories of these amazing trailblazers, we are inspired by their legacy and the impact that they have made on society, and in some cases did not know about until now. Every day we are creating history through the things that we do and speak. What will be your impact on society? What will be your contribution to history? Regardless of our background, ethnicity, or status in life, we all can tell a story that will leave a legacy to be heard or read about now or in the future. Make it happen!
- Live in a way that you want to be remembered.
- Do things that make a difference not only for you but in the lives of others.
- Be authentic. You can only live one life, make it the true you and be yourself!
Procrastination has been called the thief of time. Do the things that make you happy. Take risks that will propel you to challenge yourself. Write a book, learn to play an instrument, volunteer, be a mentor, tour a new city, develop new skills, and continue to learn. February is just one month of history known around the world. Putting your knowledge and experiences to use will set you up for a legacy worth knowing every day, every month, and every year for decades to come.
